Is Gluten Toxic?

Perhaps the bigger question is “ “Do you have a gluten-related disorder, most often referred to as Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity – or Gluten Intolerance?”

If you answered “yes” to either question, then gluten certainly is a toxin, at least to YOU!

If you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t appear to have a sensitivity to gluten – that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re completely off the hook.

According to Dr. Tom O-Bryan, the Gluten-Free Doc, “Everyone should be checked for a gluten sensitivity. And if you have the celiac gene, you definitely want to be checked every two years or so. You might be fine now, but at some point you will likely cross the line.

Why is that?

In a nutshell, it’s simply how the human body, and your immune system works.

Repeat exposure to a food that is harmful to you, even if you aren’t noticing symptoms right away, will eventually lead you to a tipping point. The tipping point is when you begin to notice symptoms, and feel less than well.

That raises another question.

Is it only gluten that is potentially toxic?

The short answer is “no”.

Lots of things can be toxic – including what you put on your skinadditional foods you might be sensitive tochemicals and preservatives, and even stress – to name a few.

It’s all the more reason to really dig deep, and get to the root cause of all your symptoms, once and for all.

Cause it’s rarely, if ever, just one thing.
