Have You Bought Into this Myth?

All that stuff about genetics and that it goes downhill from there – meaning you’ll be old and sick, tired and achy well before your time – and have to give up your favorite foods, and favorite activities.

Well, guess what?

None of it is true!

Chances are you’re already convinced that being old and sick is just the way it is.

It’s a normal part of getting older, and there’s not a whole lot you can do about it, right?

Wrong!

What about your genes? Isn’t sickness and poor health a foregone conclusion, based on your heredity? Aren’t you doomed form the get-go?

A lot of this confusion about getting older – what I call the ‘myth of aging’ – is based on this outdated belief that your genes are your destiny.

Yet nothing could be further from the truth.

Is a Boot-Camp Mentality the Answer to Good Health?

Easy HardIn a word, the answer to that question is NO!

But it’s always the first thing my clients want to know.

As a gluten-free Health Coach, I could certainly make it my job to crack the whip.

In reality, though, I prefer a gentler approach.

Besides, when you try to force things, chances are they will back-fire.

Don’t believe me?

Go ahead and try it!

Choose something – anything – and see how successful you are when your efforts feel forced and contrived, or worse yet, you constantly feel deprived.

Such a feat is rarely sustainable.

(That’s why diets so often fail).

Rather, it’s about learning to live with Celiac Disease and Food Sensitivities – so you can get past overwhelm and start making make smart, informed decisions about your diet and your health.
