You’ve recently eliminated all gluten from your diet, and you’re feeling so much better.
You want that great feeling to last – well, forever.
A clean, healthy diet is certainly the easiest and quickest way to support your health.
So, kudos to you for coming this far!
What you may not realize is that there are other ways your kitchen could be undermining your best efforts.
Yes, this goes beyond food and what you might be eating on a daily basis.
Here’s another way of looking at it.
There are actually three different ways that foreign substances enter our bodies:
- We ingest them
- We breathe them
- We accumulate them on our skin
So, why should you be concerned?
Well, if you’re dealing with any health issues whatsoever – in addition to your food sensitivities – then this is definitely something you want to consider.
For example:
- Weight Gain
- Behavioral problems in children
- Anxiety or Depression
Truth be told, there are numerous household and environmental chemicals that we’re exposed to every day.
(If you’ve already downloaded your copy of the HEALTHY AGING TOOLKIT, you’re already a step ahead – good for you!)
Many of these are toxic enough to have a serious impact on our health.
The ones outdoors – well, we don’t have a lot of control over them.
But the ones in your home – this is where you can really make a difference.
Yes, I know.
This is one more thing for you to consider – in addition to having to inspecting everything you eat for traces of gluten or other allergens.
But bear with me a minute.
Cause the sobering fact is this…
Your kitchen is likely full of things that could be undermining all your hard work at getting & staying healthy.
Let me just share an example of what I’m talking about.
Do you cook with Teflon, or non-stick cookware?
Yes, non-stick pots and pans have gotten a bad rap lately, despite the seemingly wonderful things going for it!
After all, cooking food in a Teflon pan is such an elevated experience, because nothing sticks!
Until just recently, I was a big fan myself.
But it turns out this fabulous, non-stick quality comes at a price.
The thing is, the non-stick coating in your cookware has been treated with some not-so-great chemicals.
And those chemicals have a tendency to be transferred into your food, whenever you cook.
Yuck.
I’ve known about these concerns (along with other environmental factors) for awhile, but still I resisted.
I mean – I really loved my Teflon pan!
I even reasoned that the better quality Teflon pans were less of an issue.
(Not necessarily true, by the way).
So, about a month ago, I finally relented and bought a spanking new, shiny stainless steel pan.
And that’s just one solution of many!
I share all the details in my Extreme Kitchen Makeover.
Do you have specific concerns about the safety of products that you & your family use on a regular basis?
Rather than wonder if you’re missing something that could have a big impact on your health, wouldn’t it be great to never have to think about it at all?
