Life-Changing Bread

Life Changing BreadAs I write this, the house smells absolutely heavenly.

I’m baking a loaf of this awesome-sounding “Life-Changing Bread” from My New Roots.

I’ve had my eye on this recipe for a couple of weeks.

The hold-up?

I had to hunt down a silicone pan. (I finally ordered one from Amazon).

And I’ve been waiting patiently for the package to show up at my front door, which it finally did two days ago

What’s so special about this particular bread?

Well, it doesn’t contain any flour, for one thing. The ingredients are nuts and seeds, some psyllium husks and oats.

That’s about it.

And that’s exactly what intrigued me!

I haven’t baked a regular loaf of gluten-free bread in quite a while. In fact, I’ve gotten so used to not eating bread that I don’t even think about it anymore.

The Life-Changing Loaf of Bread could, of course, change all of that.

It was super easy to make – except for flipping the loaf out of the hot pan, into an equally hot oven, without everything falling apart.

But now that it’s fully baked, and safely out of the oven, I’m waiting patiently for the loaf to cool.

I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it – I have a feeling it’s going to taste amazing!

PostscriptI’m happy to report that my suspicions were correct – this unusual bread has the taste of whole grain goodness that I really love! Other than the fact I forgot to add salt – oops – I also found it to be a bit on the soft side, so I toasted the slices in the oven at low heat until they were nice & crispy. I’ve been enjoying a slice or two everyday, with various toppings. Yum.
